I got a great deal on some Marigolds at the local garden center! I got them planted on Saturday April 23 and Sunday April 24. Hoping they help keep the bugs at bay this summer!!!
I love to garden! I love to help others garden! This blog is about my adventures in gardening...good and bad! "A garden is a grand teacher. It teaches patience and careful watchfulness; it teaches industry and thrift; above all it teaches entire trust." ~~Gertrude Jekyll~~

Rock Garden Area Update
On Saturday (April 23) and Sunday (April 24) I was able to work in the rock garden area on the front/side of the house. I got the whole area weeded, with the help of my dad who came down for a visit! I got some perennials and some annuals planted: this took 2 days. I will post their names after I get them all written down!! I also transplanted some wild onions. I just need to add some more rocks...thinking Colorado River Rock...and this area will be finished. I love that the yard is starting to take shape and I have more areas that are looking good and more natural!!! My goal is to have less lawn to mow and more areas that have plants growing in them!
